This was an oil study for a larger painting. Since I work in both oil and acrylic, I couldn’t decide which medium to use for the larger piece, so I painted two images of the same scene. The one you see here is oil and the other, Winter Vignette II is acrylic. I ended up using oil for the larger painting, but leaned the colors toward that of the acrylic study, which were slightly more subdued.
