With all the recognition this piece received, Linda decided to enter it into the Society of Animal Artists 54th Annual Exhibition. Out of 403 submissions, 150 large-scale works and the above miniature painting Sun Bathers, were selected for the 2014 show. In addition to all the awards this piece has already received, one more has been added, this time from the SAA: an AWARD OF EXCELLENCE. This is the highest honor this international society bestows.

Sun Bathers not only was awarded 1st for Animals at the Sierra Artists’ Gallery in Mariposa, CA, it received a Merit Award at El Dorado Fine Art Gallery, Colorado Springs, CO. It was also given an Honorable Mention and Sponsor Award at the 29th Annual iMiniature Art Show of NMMAS in Roswell, New Mexico. And if that wasn't enough, it received 1st Place for Acrylics at the 38th Annual MASF Miniature Fine Art Show hosted by the Leepa Rattner Museum of Art in Tarpon Springs, Florida and BEST OF SHOW at The Little Picture Show, Waterworks Art Museum, Miles City, MT.
